As a teenager halfway through high school, my understanding of a PD Day is practically nonexistent --something about teachers in a meeting with other teachers to discuss teaching. And that's fantastic, isn't it?
Educational staff coming together to unifyingly mold the minds of our youth. But here's the hitch, we as found people don't really care, because in the end we're just happy to get an extra day off school. I could go on about how PD days drastically elevate our road to higher learning but that's not the part we teenagers really care about. We like sleeping in and staying up late. A PD Day is just 24 more hours to do just that. I'm sure that it truly does benefit us educationally, but no matter what kind of scholastic twist you throw on it, the young at heart are just happy to have a day off school to eat, sleep and be a teenager.
