Santa Claus coming to town ... tonight

SUMMERSIDE - Summerside's annual Santa Claus parade gets underway at 6:30 p.m. tonight, beginning from the Waterfront Mall.

The parade will marshal at the Waterfront Mall, travel along Harbour Drive to Water Street. It will move along Water Street to Granville Street, stopping for three minutes at the intersection of Summer Street and Water Street for the unveiling of Santa's Mail Box.

The parade route then follows Granville Street northward to the County Fair Mall.

This year's parade will be in support of the Salvation Army and donations will be accepted along the parade route.

Donations of non-perishable food items, unwrapped gifts for children or a loonie/toonie donation would be greatly appreciated.
