Progress magazine has named Charlottetown-based accounting firm MRSB Group to the top of the list of this year’s Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada.
This is the third year in row a Prince Edward Island-based company has earned top spot on the list.
MRSB received high marks for its comprehensive recruitment process, flexible work arrangements, monthly team meetings, and commitment to volunteerism.
“MRSB Group is focused on being a great place to work and we’re thrilled to be named the Best Place to Work in Atlantic Canada,” says Michelle Burge, a partner at MRSB Group, adding the company offers a remote work program, a four-day work week in the summer, and monthly meetings to guide each individual workload.
“Everyone within a division is aware of the current workload and what is in the pipeline, which helps teams figure out ways to divide the workload or assist on a project.”
Following MRSB on the list is Miramichi-based Beaubear Credit Union and St. John’s-based Quick Service Software respectively.
A driving factor on this year’s roster of best workplaces was finding new ways to create healthy work-life balance for employees.
To determine the region’s Best Places to Work, Progress magazine partners with Pennsylvania-based Best Companies Group (BCG). BCG conducts an extensive two-part survey, including an organizational overview of each company’s policies and procedures and an in-depth employee questionnaire.
