PEISAA/Domino's Pizza Senior Basketball

The Three Oaks No. One team and Westisle Wolverines posted victories in the P.E.I. School Athletic Association/Dom-ino's Pizza Senior Girls Basketball League on Monday.

Cierra Gaudet poured in 20 points to lead Three Oaks past Charlottetown Rural No. One 63-43. Ashley Howell (13) and Hannah Walker (6) were Three Oaks' other top scorers.

SUMMERSIDE - The Three Oaks No. One team and Westisle Wolverines posted victories in the P.E.I. School Athletic Association/Dom-ino's Pizza Senior Girls Basketball League on Monday.

Cierra Gaudet poured in 20 points to lead Three Oaks past Charlottetown Rural No. One 63-43. Ashley Howell (13) and Hannah Walker (6) were Three Oaks' other top scorers.

Megan Carr (8), Sara Moore (8) and Allyson Seviour (6) were Rural's top point-getters.

Three Oaks led 25-20 at halftime.

Meanwhile, Ashton Gallant scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Wolverines to a 48-36 decision over Bluefield No. One.

Santana Wedge contributed 11 points and Natalie Shea added four for Westisle. Rachel Andrew (12), Stephanie Denny (6) and Jillian MacKenzie (6) were Bluefield's top offensive performers. Westisle took a 23-16 advantage into the intermission.

In other senior boys' action Monday, it was:

Bluefield No. One 84, Westisle 41

Jason McAlduff (13), Luke Chandler (12) and Jason MacLean (12) were the top scorers for Bluefield, which led 46-19 at halftime.

Dallas Ellsworth (11), Brent Murphy (7) and Cody Gallant (7) paced Westisle's attack.

Charlottetown Rural No. Two 55, Colonel Gray No. Two 26

Charlottetown Rural's second-half dominance was the story of this game. Rural, after leading 18-17 at the break, outscored Gray 37-9 in the second half.

Eli Kelly scored 17 points and Andrew Seaman chipped in with 12 to pace Rural's offence. Gray was led by Michael Timmons' 12-point effort.
